This course explains the concepts, procedures and tools that are necessary for prevention and extinguishing fires when they occur.

Description

Certification: Alpha Training Solutions

Valid: 3 years

Prerequisites:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Government Issued Photo I.D.
  • PPE – hard hat, FR coveralls, steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses
  • Wear modest clothing (no tank tops) for working in close contact with other students
  • Be fit to perform practical course related activities

This innovative training program provides a comprehensive understanding of the use and selection of fire extinguishers in the workplace, the legislation that governs them and the hazards associated with them. This course explains the concepts, procedures and tools that are necessary for prevention and extinguishing fires when they occur. It includes exercises that help students relate the course content to their own workplace and the specific conditions they may encounter.
